The story of Sandwick?

“Music will help dissolve your perplexities, purify your character and sensibilities, and in time of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you”. The above quote by Dietrich Bonhoeffer is the best description of Sandwick’s music.

Born as Patrick van Zandwijk in Asperen, Netherlands, Sandwick is a prolific songwriter, performer, instrumentalist, and vocalist, whose music captivates the mind, lifts the soul and gives movement to your legs.

The start of a journey

His sojourn in music started as a member of a two-man band ‘Make it Nuclear’ (which changed its name to Approach the Sky) and ‘Light Below the Ground’, before going solo in 2013. During his solo career he also started a mandolin-rock project called ‘TuskHead’. In 2018 he released his first full-length album as Sandwick, called ‘Stone Cold Iris‘ ‘was well received and has had thousands of streams on Spotify. He has also released an acoustic instrumental EP called ‘Basic Patterns’.

2019’s endeavours

Sandwick started a band in July 2019 with Jeroen Hardeman, which is called The Attic Getaway. They released their first single called ‘Right Now’ in August and are currently recording their debut EP.

He is set to release his next single ‘Green-To-Blue’ on October 4, 2019, a song that speaks about the thoughts of the mind, a must listen!

As an instrumentalist, Sandwick plays all the intruments in his music including the bass and the 12 string guitar, mandolin, ukulele, electric guitar, keyboard, piano, synth, and strings. A multi-talented instrumentalist he is.

One of his greatest career highlights was being named the Stagelight ‘Artist of the Month’ for March 2016.

Aside from music, Sandwick is a Marketer, and he uses his marketing skills to promote his music. He is the voice with the message!
